  • What are the sizes, weights, and rolled-up dimensions?

    Regular: 24"W x 48"L flat, 3.8 lbs, rolls up to 24" x 4", $74.99. Large: 30"W x 48"L flat, 4.4 lbs, rolls up to 30" x 4", $79.99. Alaskan: 36"W x 48"L flat, 5.2 lbs, rolls up to 36" x 4", $84.99.

  • What size sled should I get for my hunt?

    Asked from Moses Lake, WA (doe hunt, sandy terrain, about a 1 mile drag, 80-100 lb animal). For sandy terrain, we'd recommend the smallest sled size. Cinch the sled tight around the animal, much like a burrito - the goal is the least amount of surface area touching the ground, wrapped in a way that protects the harvest.

  • Can you make a custom size?

    As of now we don't customize sizes beyond our three stock sizes - though our Alaskan size actually got its start as a request from a moose hunter, so we're always happy to talk through what you might need.

  • Is it hard to re-roll the sled for a second trip?

    Not at all - it bounces back quickly. If it's stiff from the cold, set it out in the sun for a few minutes and it rolls up easily.

  • How does it perform on rocky ground, over logs, or on a skid road?

    One hunter told us they dragged an elk quarter load over a boulder-field logging road - it wore through in spots but held together for the job. Built tough, but like anything dragged over sharp rock, it will show wear.

  • Why is it harder to drag over dirt/grass than snow?

    It's a rubber bottom, not poly - so there's some friction on bare ground that you won't feel on snow. That's expected, not a defect. Cinching the load tight to keep the surface area as narrow as possible helps a lot here.  We have some tips and tricks to help smooth out the drag. 

  • Does the sled come with rope?

    It comes with the drag rope. The cinching rope is not included.

  • Is the metal bar/stay included?

    Yes - it's a PVC stay bar, and it's included.
